This includes fostering positive relationships, providing consistent routines and boundaries, and avoiding shaming or punishment. LGBTQ+ youth often have been subjected to abuse, violence, and rejection for their identity. Thus, trauma-informed instruction allows them to recover from these experiences and thrive academically.

Inclusive Language promotes equality and belonging among all individuals. It involves using gender-neutral terms such as 'they' instead of 'he/she' when referring to people without knowing their gender identity.
