Similarly, hiring a few Black employees without addressing the systemic racism that prevents many others from accessing quality education and employment opportunities is only a surface-level solution.

Focusing solely on inclusivity limits efforts towards meaningful social change because it fails to acknowledge the historical roots of marginalization and power imbalances. By recognizing that these structural inequities are deeply embedded in our society, we can take steps toward transformative action through legislation, policy reforms, and education.

Policies aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion must go beyond mere representation and include initiatives designed to redistribute resources and dismantle institutionalized discrimination. This requires a critical examination of how privilege has been historically constructed and the ways in which it continues to perpetuate itself today.
