Policy and educational reforms can ensure culturally competent, LGBTQ-inclusive care through legal protection against discrimination, cultural competence integration into healthcare policies, expanded insurance coverage for mental health treatments, curricular updates, training on LGBTQ-specific topics, and improved provider sensitivity. These measures are necessary to promote equitable access to quality care, improve outcomes, and reduce health disparities among members of the LGBTQ community.
