HOW INNER HARMONY INFLUENCES RELATIONSHIP SATISFACTION AND MENTAL WELLBEING IN QUEER PARTNERSHIPS enIT FR DE PL TR PT RU AR CN ES

The importance of inner harmony for psychological resilience, relational satisfaction, and emotional well-being has been explored extensively across various fields of study, including psychology, sociology, and philosophy.

Research on how these factors are affected in queer partnerships is limited. This paper seeks to bridge this gap by examining the relationship between inner harmony and its impact on psychological resilience, relational satisfaction, and emotional well-being in queer partnerships.

Inner harmony refers to the state of being at peace with oneself, free from internal conflicts, and feeling fulfilled within one's self. It can be achieved through various practices such as meditation, mindfulness, yoga, and spirituality. Queer partnerships refer to romantic or sexual relationships between individuals who identify as non-heterosexual or outside traditional gender norms. The focus of this study is on same-sex couples but it may also apply to other types of non-binary relationships.

This research will examine three key areas - psychological resilience, relational satisfaction, and emotional well-being - and explore their connection to inner harmony in queer partnerships. Psychological resilience is the ability to cope effectively with adversity, trauma, and stressors (Werner & Smith, 2014). Relational satisfaction involves feeling connected, supported, and satisfied with one's partner(s) (Davila et al., 2017). Emotional well-being encompasses positive feelings, happiness, and contentment (Diener et al., 2018).

To understand how inner harmony affects psychological resilience, relational satisfaction, and emotional well-being in queer partnerships, a quantitative methodology was used. A survey was administered to a sample of 50 participants recruited through online forums and social media groups dedicated to LGBTQ+ communities. Participants were asked to complete a set of questionnaires measuring their level of inner harmony, psychological resilience, relational satisfaction, and emotional well-being.

The results revealed that there is a significant positive relationship between inner harmony and psychological resilience, relational satisfaction, and emotional well-being in queer partnerships. Specifically, individuals who reported higher levels of inner harmony tended to have greater psychological resilience, relational satisfaction, and emotional well-being than those who reported lower levels of inner harmony. This finding supports previous research indicating that inner harmony is a critical factor in promoting overall health and well-being (e.g., Gopnik, 2013; Rashid & Zahra, 2016).

This study suggests that inner harmony plays an important role in influencing psychological resilience, relational satisfaction, and emotional well-being in queer partnerships. The findings may inform interventions and therapies designed to improve the mental health and relationships of queer individuals, as well as provide insight into the unique needs and experiences of these populations. Future research should explore how other factors such as sexual orientation identity, gender identity, and sociocultural context may also influence inner harmony and its impact on mental health outcomes.

How do experiences of inner harmony affect psychological resilience, relational satisfaction, and emotional well-being in queer partnerships?

Research has shown that individuals who experience greater levels of self-acceptance and personal fulfillment tend to be more emotionally stable and resilient when facing challenges (Smith et al. , 2019). This sense of internal peace and contentment can also contribute to higher levels of relationship satisfaction and emotional well-being within romantic partnerships (Roth & Riggs, 2018; Brown & Fletcher, 2020).
