DEBUNKING MYTHS SURROUNDING BISEXUALITY: HOW ITS ACTUALLY BIOLOGY, NOT CHOICE

2 min read Bisexual

The public is often confused when it comes to bisexuality because they have some preconceived notions about this orientation. Bisexuals are considered promiscuous people who cannot make up their mind whether they like men or women more. This perception is completely wrong because bisexuals can be loyal to one partner just like straight or gay people. They are equally capable of committing to a single person for a long time.

There is also another stereotype that bisexuals sleep around with both genders but prefer one over the other. This is false too since most bisexuals are attracted to both genders equally.

Many studies have shown that bisexuality exists because humans are born with biological components that determine their sexuality. It's not something that someone chooses later in life; it's innate. There is nothing strange about being bisexual as it is simply how human beings are made.

Most people believe that bisexuals are indecisive individuals who struggle to decide which gender they want to date next. That isn't true either; they are perfectly capable of making decisions like everyone else. The only thing is that bisexuals don't limit themselves to one gender.

A bisexual man may find himself dating a woman now and a man later, depending on what he feels at the moment. But this doesn't mean he lacks confidence or is unable to choose between two things.

Society has painted bisexuals as sluts who go after any person regardless of their gender. This is unfair because they are no different from anyone else when it comes to relationships. Bisexuals enjoy intimate relationships and often get involved in them without hurting others emotionally. In fact, many people who identify as bisexual are already married to someone of a different sex.

It would help if we all understood that bisexuality isn't a bad thing. Everyone deserves to love whoever they want without feeling judged for their choices. Bisexuals should feel free to express themselves without worrying about being called names or shunned by society.

In what ways do stereotypes about promiscuity or indecisiveness distort the public perception of bisexuality?

Stereotyping is an essential aspect of identity formation and can be influenced by various factors such as cultural norms, socialization experiences, and personal beliefs. Bisexual people often face negative stereotypes that can hinder their ability to form meaningful relationships with both men and women.
