This is unlikely to happen without significant social change, as most people still value romantic relationships and physical intimacy. In addition, it could create more problems than it solves, since repressed sexual desires might cause other forms of aggression or harmful behaviors instead.
There is no easy answer to this issue. Religious communities must find ways to balance traditional beliefs with modern realities, while still protecting the innocence of children.
