Women who enjoy dominant sex positions are viewed as subversive and threatening to male dominance. The same goes for those who engage in BDSM (bondage/discipline, domination/submission, sadism/masochism), which challenges conventional ideas about sex as pleasureful and consensual.
It seems that both moral principles and power dynamics play a role in shaping sexual taboos. While some taboos may be more strongly rooted in one or the other, there is often an intersection between the two. It's important to consider how these factors influence our attitudes towards sex and intimacy, and whether we should respect or challenge them.
