Cultural Marginalization
Cultural marginalization refers to the exclusion of certain groups from mainstream society due to their cultural differences. This can include things like language, religion, race, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
If a group is speaking a different language than most people around them, they may be considered culturally marginalized. Similarly, if someone has a different skin color or religious beliefs, they may also be seen as outsiders.
Economic Inequality

Intersectionality
The term intersectionality was coined by Kimberlé Crenshaw in 1989 to describe how multiple identities can overlap and interact with one another, creating unique experiences for each individual. When it comes to LGBTQ populations, this means that being part of a minority sexual or gender identity can intersect with other aspects of identity such as race, class, ability, age, or religion to create additional layers of discrimination and oppression.
