A survey conducted among American adults revealed that 40% of respondents reported experiencing sexual rejection at some point in their lives, with nearly half reporting negative consequences such as anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem (4). Self-silencing is often associated with poorer quality relationships and decreased overall well-being (5).
