One way this is evident is through the rise of Islamic extremist groups such as ISIS, who use their interpretation of Sharia law to justify extreme violence against women and homosexuals. Despite these instances of radicalization, many Muslims still practice moderate forms of Islam that allow for some degree of freedom when it comes to sex and relationships. The same is true for other religions like Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Confucianism.
