Another man said he often feels pressured to hide his bisexuality for fear of losing friends or employment opportunities. These experiences suggest that bisexual individuals may face unique challenges when it comes to understanding their truth within a heteronormative culture.
The results indicate that bisexual people can hold diverse perspectives on what it means to be "truthful" about their identity. Some prioritize authenticity above all else, while others find creative ways to balance personal conviction with societal pressure. The study highlights the importance of recognizing individual differences in how we conceptualize ourselves and our relationships with others.
