This phenomenon has been studied extensively for many years now, but still little research exists that explains its effects on employee motivation, engagement, and commitment. To prevent these negative consequences of sexualization among workers, managers need to implement several strategies to ensure that their staff members remain productive and efficient throughout their careers. Here are five steps that employers should follow:
1) Educate Employees About Sexual Harassment Policies - Firstly, all companies must provide training sessions regarding workplace harassment policies. This way, every worker knows exactly what is expected of them concerning interactions within the organization. By educating themselves on how to behave appropriately towards one another during meetings, interviews, conferences, etc., employees will feel empowered enough to speak up against any abusive behavior without fear of retaliation. 2) Create Clear Boundaries Between Personal And Professional Lives - Secondly, leaders need to establish clear boundaries between personal lives and professional ones.
