In Hinduism, for instance, married couples are encouraged to have children in order to perpetuate the family line and continue the cycle of reincarnation. In Catholicism, meanwhile, having large families is seen as a sign of devotion to God and the Church. This focus on procreation helps reinforce the idea that individuals who follow religious norms will be blessed with good fortune in this life and the next.

By following the rules set forth by their faith, adherents demonstrate that they are committed to their belief system and its values.
