This bias can be reinforced by media portrayals of powerful figures who exhibit stereotypically masculine behaviors while denigrating those who don't conform to traditional norms of masculinity. Secondly, sexualized perceptions can also influence who is chosen to fill specific roles within an organization based on assumptions about how they should perform certain tasks related to gender identity. Such assumptions may result in discrimination against non-conforming individuals or create a hostile work environment where people feel pressure to meet expectations that don't align with their true selves.
