Sexualized narratives are often used to describe how individuals experience emotions and desires during times of conflict, such as love, romance, and lust. They also reflect social norms about gender roles, power dynamics, and collective identities. In this article, I will explore the relationship between sexualized narratives and revolutionary ideology, and examine how they shape collective imagination through four case studies: The Marquis de Sade's novel "Justine" during the French Revolution; Walt Whitman's poem "A Child's Reminiscence During the Fourth of July" during the US Civil War; Vladimir Lenin's pamphlet "The Tasks of the Youth League" during the Russian Revolution; and Fidel Castro's speech "History Will Absolve Me" during the Cuban Revolution.
