The current study investigated how sexual relationships between co-workers can affect employee engagement, motivation, and commitment. The research hypothesized that individuals who engaged in sexual relationships with their colleagues would experience higher levels of emotional connection to their workplaces compared to those who did not have such relationships. To test this hypothesis, participants were recruited from various organizations across different industries and job roles, and data was collected using self-report questionnaires measuring employee engagement, motivation, and commitment. Participants included both men and women, aged 18 to 60 years old.
Sexual attraction and romantic involvement among coworkers have been linked to positive outcomes for employees, including increased productivity, improved communication, enhanced job satisfaction, and reduced turnover intentions.

This suggests that sexual relationships may serve as a powerful emotional bond between workers, fostering stronger connections within the workplace.
The research indicated that individuals who were currently engaged in sexual relationships with co-workers showed greater levels of intrinsic motivation compared to those who were not.
