From the time of Plato's Symposium, where he discusses love as a way for men to gain social status through their association with women, to today's modern world, where people are expected to express their sexuality in certain ways, sex has always been used as a tool for manipulation and control. This is especially true when it comes to gender roles and expectations. Women have traditionally been seen as passive objects of male desire, while men have been encouraged to pursue them aggressively. This power dynamic creates a sense of imbalance that can lead to abuse and exploitation.

In my view, there is no such thing as "normal" sexuality that can be isolated from power, morality, and control. Sexuality is deeply influenced by cultural norms and social values. It is shaped by power relations between individuals, groups, and institutions, which determine who has access to what kinds of resources (e. g. , money, education, healthcare), who has power over others, and how sexuality is perceived and regulated.
