BEHINDTHESCENES PHOTOGRAPHY OF A FASHION SHOOT | CAPTURING INTIMATE MOMENTS RU EN ES

As a fashion photographer, I'm always looking for ways to make my images stand out from the crowd. One way to do this is through behind-the-scenes photography. By capturing the moments before and after the shoot takes place, I can create an interesting narrative that gives viewers insight into what went on during the creation of the final product. In this article, I will share some of my favorite photos from one of my recent shoots.

Before the shoot begins, I usually have a meeting with my models to discuss what they want to achieve during the session. I might also meet with stylists and hair/makeup artists to plan their vision for the shoot. Once everyone has been briefed, it's time to start shooting! Here are some shots of the preparation process:

1. Choosing the location - This is often one of the most important decisions when planning a photo shoot. The model needs to feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera, so choosing the right environment is crucial. For this particular shoot, we chose a spacious loft with lots of natural light.

2. Testing the camera - Before starting the shoot, it's important to test all your equipment to ensure everything works correctly. This includes testing the flashes, lenses, and any other accessories you may be using.

3. Getting ready - During this stage, the model gets dressed and does their makeup while the photographer sets up the lighting. It's essential to get the shot right from the beginning, as once the model starts moving around, things can become chaotic quickly!

4. Hair & Makeup - This is where the magic happens. The hairstylist and makeup artist work their magic to make sure the model looks flawless. Sometimes this takes hours, but it's worth it because the end result is beautiful.

5. Posing - After the model is ready, it's time to start taking photos! This is when the photographer gives direction on how they want them to pose and what angles they should use. We usually take several shots in different positions before moving on to the next part of the shoot.

6. Lighting adjustments - Once the first few images have been captured, it might be necessary to adjust the lighting or background. This ensures that every detail is perfect and there are no unwanted reflections or shadows.

7. The big reveal - Finally, we reveal the finished product! Here are some behind-the-scenes photos of our most recent photo diary. I hope you enjoy seeing these moments that often go unseen by the public.

8. Capturing candid moments - There's a lot more than meets the eye during a photo shoot. Photographers capture every moment, including those between takes. This is why capturing natural moments between shoots is so important. It humanizes the process and shows the care that goes into crafting each image.

9. Laughter on set - Working with models is always fun, but sometimes there are hilarious moments that happen behind the scenes. These are things you wouldn't see if you weren't there! For example, during one particular shoot, the model slipped on a high heel, and we all burst out laughing as she tried to regain her balance. 10. Wrapping up - When the shoot is over, everyone packs up their equipment and says goodbye. But not without snapping a few final shots of course! These are usually some of my favorite pictures because they show how much fun was had during the shoot.
