Sexual satisfaction refers to the feeling of physical and mental pleasure that an individual experiences during sexual activity. It can be influenced by various factors such as physiological, psychological, social, cultural, and environmental factors. Sexual satisfaction plays a crucial role in maintaining healthy sexual relationships, which are essential for psychosocial adjustment and overall well-being. On the other hand, sexual dissatisfaction can lead to negative consequences like low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, stress, and relationship conflicts. The present study aimed to investigate the impact of sexual satisfaction on psychosexual adaptation, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal trust among soldiers.
The study involved a sample of 200 male soldiers who were recruited from different army bases across the United States. Participants completed three surveys: the Sexual Satisfaction Scale (SSS), the Emotional Intelligence Appraisal Inventory (EIAI), and the Interpersonal Trust Measure (ITM). The SSS measures sexual satisfaction based on variables like frequency of sexual activity, sexual attitudes, and sexual desires. The EIAI assesses emotional intelligence levels in four domains: intrapersonal, interpersonal, cognitive, and regulation. The ITM evaluates the level of trust in personal and professional relationships.
Results
Results showed that sexual satisfaction was positively correlated with all dimensions of emotional intelligence and trust.
The correlation between sexual satisfaction and intrapersonal emotional intelligence was higher than the other two domains. A multiple regression analysis revealed that sexual satisfaction predicted the variance in emotional intelligence and trust significantly.
Discussion
These findings suggest that sexual satisfaction plays an important role in the psychological and social functioning of soldiers. When individuals feel satisfied with their sexual experiences, they are more likely to have better emotional control, empathy, communication skills, and trust in others. This can help them adapt to military life, maintain healthy relationships, and cope with stressful situations. Therefore, promoting sexual satisfaction through education, counseling, and therapy may be beneficial for soldiers' well-being.
What is the impact of sexual satisfaction on psychosexual adaptation, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal trust among soldiers?

Secondly, it may enhance their emotional intelligence as they learn to communicate effectively with their partners during sex and navigate different emotions and desires (e. g.
